School Chaplain

Hi LGPS! For those that don’t know me my Name is Caleb but everyone at school calls me Chappy. I have the privilege of being the school’s Chaplain. What exactly does a Chaplain do in a school?

Good question.

My role is to offer pastoral support for students, families, and staff. This means that I am here to listen and provide a supportive place to talk within the school in a confidential and non-judgmental manner. I am also often running programs for smaller groups based on the YouthCARE values of: respect, service and compassion. I am actively involved in supporting events around the school and encourage a culture of both Kindness and Resilience in line with our PASLET (Positive and Supportive Learning Environment Team).

Students will often see me around the schoolyard at break times or going in and out of the classrooms and supporting students where possible. I work Mondays and Tuesdays at Little Grove Primary School

If you see me walking around, please come up and say hello as I would love to meet you!

Take care everyone

Caleb Drage   or   Chappy (to the students)
