The Year 3 LGPS children were delighted to harvest our school crop of Lilly Pillys and receive the very generous donations from our local community. This generosity was greatly appreciated and enabled the children to create the most beautiful jam. After cleaning, sorting, removing the seed and then boiling in a sugary syrup the children were rewarded with jars of jam worthy of a prize at the local show. Having tried the jam on fresh bread it was declared to be the best jam ever eaten by many of the children!
Thank you so very much to all the families who provided us with the fruit. The learning experience was most rewarding.
